Several Hudson Valley and Long Island organizations are receiving thousands of dollars to create pollinator gardens, restore habitats, and expand environmental programs through money stemming from a settlement over toxic consumer weedkillers.

A Bard College professor has been awarded a $50,000 grant to support a large-scale interactive art project using water, sound, light, and human biorhythms.
Julianne Swartz, associate professor and codirector of the studio arts program at Bard College, received the grant from the Bobby Anspach Foundation, according to Bard College.

Four Bard College graduates have received 2026–27 Fulbright Awards for research, teaching, study, and community work overseas.
According to Bard College, the awards went to Danika Dortch, Peter Fields, Annaliese Simons, and Shosha Wheeler.
Dortch, a Literature major at the College and a French Horn Performance major at the Bard Conservatory, will conduct an independent project in Brno, Czech Republic.
